Dream-Joan Miró-1

Miró was deemed the most Surrealist of all the Surrealists by André Breton, the movement's ideologist. It was also because Miró employed his creative process to define his pursuit of mental automatism, an idea that is outside the realm of reality. The odd thing is that Joan Miró once revealed that hallucinations were the cause of his first oneiric works. He experienced hallucinations as a result of his hunger. This is quite distinct in Miro’s hand woven wool Tapestry, a beautiful large scale artwork with impressions of his dreams

“ I never dream when I am sleeping, but I always dream while I am awake „
